Although our workshops would not be until early December, by which time we hope to be fully open and operational again, we have decided that it would be safer for everyone this year if we put together a Wreath Making Kit for customers to create their own wreaths at home. Kits will include all you need starting with a mossed up base, a big bundle of mixed foliage, binding wire, decorations and ribbon plus a page of simple to follow instructions. New Shop Space
When the space adjoining my flower shop became available last month, I jumped at the opportunity to take it over. People kept asking me what I was planning to sell in the extra room but I really wanted to just let things evolve naturally. I feel this has happened and now every nook and corner is filled with a mix of flowers, plants, metalwork, handmade pots, candles, baskets, soaps and vintage finds. My plan is that the stock will constantly change, keeping it interesting for customers to visit and for those of us who work here.
Opening Up
On Wednesday 13 May we took the decision, along with garden centres, to open the outside area at the flower shop. Lots of garden plants, pots and metal plant supports. Seasonal bouquets for local delivery or contactless collection from Barr’s Yard.
Deliveries during Corona Virus
As the Flower Shop is currently closed to customers, I am not buying fresh flowers and plants from Holland. However, contactless deliveries of metal plant supports, handmade pots from Burma, baskets and candles from Box Candle Company are available for delivery to doorsteps local to Hungerford.
